Aguilera, Braxton And Blige To Headline NBA All-Star Events

Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, and Mary J. Blige will headline the entertainment for NBA All-Star 2007 in Las Vegas.

On Saturday Mary J. Blige will pay tribute to NBA Cares, the league's social responsibility initiative with a special performance of her rendition of the U2 original hit "One" during NBA All-Star Saturday Night airing live on TNT at 8 p.m. ET.

I hope that the league supplies security personnel and ushers with those holy ghost white sheets they drape over people at church when they fall out. You already know how Willona Woods gets when she starts feeling "the spirit." Then Kendu will shimmy across stage to make a cameo in the middle of her set, dabbing the sweat of her brow a la Bobby Brown. Attention whore!

Christina Aguilera and Shug Avery will headline the halftime show of the 56th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. Braxton will open Sunday's halftime extravaganza by performing "Making Me High" from her Secrets album and "Take This Ring" from her Libra album.

The streets are definitely talking about this one. Word is the only reason why they are allowing her to perform is so that she can pay off the bar tab she has accumulated at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Real talk.

To culminate the show Aguilera will perform two songs from her 2006 Grammy-nominated, certified platinum album Back to Basics, "Ain't No Other Man" and "Candyman." Expect her performance to be extended an additional 12 minutes for adblibs.
