Gabrielle Union Set To Depict A Lesbian In Upcoming Film

Gabrielle Union is set to play Annette Bening's lover in the upcoming film 'Running With Scissors.' Her character in the movie is a manic depressive who paints her nails depending on her moods and speed junkie.

In the September issue of Out magazine she candidly spoke about some members of her family questioning her decision to play a lesbian on the big screen.

"You had no problem when I was in movies as a lap dancer or killing, like, 50 people. Why get riled up when I'm playing someone who happens to find love with another woman?," she replied.

While some of her family members may have been raising their eyebrows, Gabby's ex-husband wasn't bothered one bit. "I have to say it was the first time my husband wasn't concerned about me going to work. He showed up, actually." (news story via Rod Online)
